Seriously. And mothers hate them. For those of you un-stoned, Van Stone is Palm Dale's third best heavy metal band. (Actually this is part of a film shoot in front of Spaceland. I was attracted by the "hell no Van Stone" chant)

This kind man was paid large sums of money to drive 4 drunkards through 7 (8?) vineyards in Santa Barbara wine country - and probably worse - back home again. I imagine there were several times when he questioned the wad of money in his pocket, but Andrew Jackson kept saying "only one more vineyard!". Or maybe that was me.

I can't say enough amazing things about our recent trip to the dark continent - it's truly an experience that everyone should take advantage of at some point in their lives. As long as it doesn't make my next trip more crowded. Here's a photo of a warthog family - one of many - that we encountered throughout Tanzania. They were delightful to watch, funny in their mannerisms and they looked extremely tasty. It's like snickers on wheels.

On a walk through the neighborhood...what I love is when you are behind these houses that extend over the hillside they appear to jut out over the hill like a pier of the ocean.
